The ambition of the Province of Friesland combined with the innovation strength of the entrepreneurs in the Northern Netherlands is proven to be good soil for innovation.

Van der Meer & van Tilburg directed a project that resulted in the stimulation of practical innovation projects. This project was carried out in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce Friesland, Syntens (governmental agency for innovation), the combined universities of Applied Sciences in Friesland, and the Province of Friesland. Within these projects knowledge is used from the University of Twente.

Van der Meer & van Tilburg also executed projects on regional development in cooperation with:

• SNN, a development corporation for Northern Netherlands (Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe)
• Province of Flevoland: founding & development of the Knowledge transfer Centre for Construction and Industry (www.KCBI.nl)
• Region Eindhoven: Execution of an innovation project for local businesses
• NV REDE: execution of the Stimulus Grant (grant to stimulate businesses to seek external guidance)
• Leader project Leanova: Stimulating innovation and setting up practical innovation projects with companies in the Northern Netherlands
