Feasibility study for plastic recycling |
|
A feasibility study has been conducted for the mechanical separation of plastics from non-industrial garbage. Mixtures of plastics were shredded, washed and separated based on density. This resulted in digestible clean plastics with a purity of 99.8%. An analysis was made of the price developments of this re-granulate and an exploration study was performed on the application possibilities in the market.
Van der Meer & van Tilburg also conducted feasibility studies for industrial cutting (autogenic, plasma, laser cutting), photonics en separation of plastic mixtures with the use of the principle of reversed Jig.
